An Evening of Eclectic Classical Performers at the Brockton Country Club

June 25th, 2011 brought together some of the area’s outstanding young talent

performing a very diverse program played on some very interesting instrumentation.

Nine Year old Eric Zaks performing the “Flight of the Bumblbee” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Accompanied by Ms. Virginia Kalamkarian, on the  piano.

~

Ms. Kalamkarian is a graduate of the Tbilisi Conservatory with honors
and starred in her capacity as concert master of the Georgia State Philharmonic.
Ms. Kalamkarian has given extensive performances throughout the former USSR,
Europe and now the US.

Award winning eleven year old Ilana Zaks brings the house down

with a stunning rendition of “Souvenir De Amerique”  by Henri Vieuxtemps.

Teddy, Josh, and George, first time performing on stage together,

playing “Entre dos Aguas” by Paco de Lucia.

~

At thirteen years old, Teddy Sidiropoulos is already a well know drummer in the area

performing regularly with the Boston College High Bands and many bands locally.

George Capernaros, a recent graduate of Brockton High School, performed in the school’s

award winning Concert Band, Wind Ensemble as an oboist and as The Jazz Band’s guitarist.

Josh Beetler is a graduate of U Mass Lowell’s Music program and is considered one of the

finest guitarist from that program in the past decade. He currently teaches and performs in the area.

World renowned classical saxophonist Pei Yin performs “Jungle” by Christian Lauba.

A Master on the Guzheng, Hui Weng, accompanied by Pei Yin, perform “Moon Palace”  by Lin Xu. Originally written for oboe and piano, this arrangement by Pei Yin

is the first arrangement for guzheng and saxophone and performed for the first time here.

Dylan Marshall & Guiseppe Falzarano just completed their Junior year at Carver High School.

They are well known trombonists in the area performing regularly with many marching bands,

brass bands and concert bands. Here is their rendition of “Selected Duets Excerpt 2”  by H. Voxman.
